Visitors to Elk City’s 5 Plex Baseball and Softball facilities in the future will see a better parking experience.
This, after the Elk City Commission approved funds to improve the parking lot at the complex, that includes widening parking spaces.
The approval came during the latest meeting of the Elk City Commissioners on Wednesday afternoon. By a unanimous vote, Commissioners went ahead and approved a bid from Stevenson Paving Company for repairs to the parking lot that include asphalt patchwork, crack repair, seal-coat and striping that City Manager Tom Ivester says will make parking out at the fields less stressful.
Additionally, when asked about possible RV and camper spaces at hook-ups near the fields, Ivester did say there is money in the budget for future RV and camper hook-ups in the future – but where that could be, or when that will take place, has not been determined.
The approved bid for the work on the parking lot was for $47,955.
