Coronavirus: April 14 Update – Greer County Unchanged

The latest numbers of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state are in. As of 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, the Oklahoma State Department of Health is reporting an additional 115 cases of COVID-19, bringing the total in the state to 2,184.

Locally Greer County has seen no additional positive cases of the virus, but still leading the area seeing an outbreak with 49 cases.

Custer County has seen an additional case added to it’s total, bringing it to 7. Jackson County remains with 7 positive cases, Kiowa County with 2 confirmed cases, and Beckham County still is showing only one case.

Washita and Roger Mills Counties are still without a case of COVID-19.

Unfortunately it was a deadly day in the state, with 9 additional deaths in the last 24 hours due to COVID-19, bringing the total to 108. There were no additional deaths in Greer County or the rest of Western Oklahoma.

Public Affairs Officer for the Oklahoma National Guard Colonel Tom Ivester says there is some good news despite the numbers creeping up.

Colonel Ivester says the state is projected to have a sufficient amount of ventilators.

Currently there are 488 hospitalizations due to COVID-19.
