Cordell, OK – Cordell’s downtown square will come alive on Saturday, October 11, as the Cordell Chamber of Commerce hosts the 38th Annual Pumpkin Festival & Car Show. Events run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Historic Downtown Cordell, with a full day of food, shopping, entertainment, and family fun.

The celebration begins early with the Pumpkin Pancake Breakfast at 7 a.m. at 4th & College Church. Festival-goers can then enjoy a wide range of activities, including a large vendor market, the annual car show, and a kids’ area hosted by the Cordell Elementary PTO. The day also features a parade, baking contest, bingo, and the always-popular Burn Out Contest.

Community partners are adding to the festivities as well. The Washita County Museum will be open from 9:30 a.m. to noon, and the Cordell Fire Department will host its Haunted Morgue at 8 p.m.

Admission to the festival is free, though vendors and certain activities may charge a fee.

The Chamber expressed thanks to 4th & College Church, the Cordell Elementary PTO, the 405 Goons, the City of New Cordell, the Cordell Arts and Humanities Council, the Cordell Fire Department, Mrs. Bobeck’s class, and the many volunteers and vendors who make the event possible.
