Elk City, OK – A concrete truck overturned Thursday morning just after 10 a.m. at the intersection of 20th Street and Pioneer in Elk City.

According to Elk City Police Chief Eddie Holland, the truck tipped over while attempting to make a turn. Holland said it appears the driver may have taken the turn too sharply, causing the vehicle to become top-heavy and overturn.

Elk City Fire Chief Kyle Chervenka reported that two individuals were transported to Great Plains Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Elk City Police, Fire, and EMS responded to the scene. The roadway was either closed or limited to one lane for around four hours while crews worked the scene. The company that owns the truck handled cleanup of the spilled concrete and debris.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
