Clinton, OK – Clinton Public Schools has found its next leader. Following the departure of Superintendent Tyler Bridges, the Clinton Board of Education voted Friday to name Nathan Meget as the district’s new superintendent. Meget, who currently serves as Assistant Superintendent, will officially step into the role in July.
According to a press release from the school board, Meget’s appointment follows a thorough search process facilitated by the Oklahoma State School Boards Association (OSSBA), which included candidate interviews and input from staff, students, and the community.
“We’re excited to entrust the future of Clinton Public Schools to Nathan Meget,” said Board President Kim Meacham. “He is a homegrown leader and a servant at heart—someone who knows our district inside and out.”
Meget moved to Clinton in 2013, beginning his career in the district as Assistant Athletic Director and Assistant Principal at Clinton Middle School. Over the past 12 years, he has held roles as Athletic Director, Elementary Principal, Middle School Principal, and most recently, Assistant Superintendent.
“Clinton welcomed our family with open arms, and I’m honored to lead a district that means so much to us,” Meget said. “We’re part of a community that values education and continues to invest in students’ futures.”
The leadership transition comes as outgoing Superintendent Tyler Bridges prepares to take the top job at Stillwater Public Schools. Bridges, who returned to Clinton in 2020, led the district through significant gains in achievement, facility upgrades, and expanded student programs.
Looking ahead, Meget said he’s eager to continue building on that momentum: “Clinton Public Schools is a place that inspires pride, hope, and achievement. I’m grateful for the opportunity to lead our team and community into the future.”
