
Clinton, OK – Clinton Public Schools placed all campuses on a soft lockdown late Tuesday morning following an anonymous threat reported at Clinton Middle School.
According to the district, the precautionary lockdown was initiated at approximately 11:44 a.m. after the threat was received. Law enforcement and school administrators responded immediately, and established safety protocols were put in place. District officials said students and staff remained safe, and classroom learning continued with minimal disruption during the lockdown.
At 1:06 p.m., Clinton Public Schools announced that the soft lockdown had been lifted after law enforcement completed its investigation and issued an all clear. All campuses returned to normal operations at that time.
District officials emphasized that student safety remains their highest priority and thanked families, staff, and the community for their patience and cooperation as authorities worked to ensure the safety of all schools.
