Clinton Man Injured in Early-Morning Crash in Roger Mills County

Strong City, OK – A Clinton man was hospitalized after a single-vehicle crash early Friday morning in Roger Mills County.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the collision happened at 4:53 a.m. on August 22 at the intersection of State Highway 33 and State Highway 283, about five miles west of Strong City. Troopers say 57-year-old Raul Andablo of Clinton was driving west on Highway 33 when he failed to negotiate a curve. His vehicle left the roadway to the right, struck a ditch, then hit the east side of Highway 283 before coming to rest.

Andablo was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash but suffered back injuries. He was transported to Roger Mills Memorial Hospital, where he was admitted. No passengers were in the vehicle, and no fatalities were reported.

Troopers confirmed next of kin have been notified.
