Beckham County, OK – A Clinton man has been arrested after investigators linked him to an Elk City burglary and fraudulent credit card use across Western Oklahoma.
According to court documents, 19-year-old Eric D’Shon McCallister is accused of breaking into a home on Sherry Court in Elk City in September 2024. Investigators say the suspect allegedly forced entry through a window while the homeowner was gone, stealing cash and credit cards. After an investigation where fingerprints matched McCallister, he was arrested and taken in for questioning, where he admitted to breaking into the home.
Detectives say he used a stolen credit card to attempt purchases at area businesses.
McCallister was charged with second-degree burglary, taking a credit or debit card without the card holder’s consent, and credit card fraud.
Bond has been set at $10,000. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for October 7.
