Cheyenne Tornado: Five Homes Determined to be “Total Loss”

More details are emerging regarding the extent of the damage caused by the tornado that struck Cheyenne Sunday night.

The name of the man who passed away has also been released.

According to reports, 62-year-old Billy Trammell Junior passed away after a tornado struck the man’s home on the north side of the Roger Mills County community.

Roger Mills County Emergency Manager Levi Bleckketter told reporters during a press conference yesterday that along with the victim, three others were injured.

He also gave an update on the damage the community sustained.

County officials say that if anyone is wanting to help, they are urged to drop off donations at the Civil Defense basement inside the Roger Mills County Courthouse. Monetary donations can be dropped of at the county clerk’s office.

If anyone has suffered storm damage in the Roger Mills County, they are asked to call the county assessor’s office at 580-303-6052.
