Candidate filing closed Wednesday afternoon, finalizing the slate for several local races across western Oklahoma.

In Clinton, the Ward 3 City Council race will feature three contenders: Talitha Adler, who filed just before the deadline, joins Erin Adams and Tony Paradis on the ballot. A primary election is set for September 9, with a general election on November 18 if needed. Only residents of Ward 3 may vote in this race. Ward 1 incumbent Ernesto Villanueva filed unopposed and will automatically retain his seat for another term.

In Weatherford, two City Council seats will appear on the ballot. Brad Yoder filed for Councilmember – Commissioner Ward 2, and Garrett Smith filed for Councilmember – Commissioner Ward 4. Both races are non-partisan.

In Butler, two candidates filed for the Board of Trustees (Unexpired Term): Mark Cobb and Nick Spagnola, both running as non-partisan candidates.

In Erick, Christy D. Crosby has filed as a non-partisan candidate for Erick Public Schools Board Member – Office No. 5 (Unexpired Term).

Any Contests of Candidacy must have been filed by 5 p.m. Friday (August 1), either by another candidate for that office or, in the case of unopposed candidates, through the County Election Board.
