
Lookeba, OK – A head-on collision Sunday afternoon on US-281 in Caddo County left one driver dead and another injured, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash happened at 2:09 pm about a mile north of Lookeba on US 281. A vehicle driven by Craig F. Pruitt, 57, of Anadarko, was traveling south while a second vehicle driven by Angel G. Carrillo-De La Cruz, 21, of Lookeba, was headed north. The two vehicles collided head-on in the roadway.
Pruitt was injured and later died from his injuries. Carrillo-De La Cruz was also injured, but troopers said he survived. Both drivers were alone in their vehicles and were wearing seatbelts.
OHP noted that the cause of the collision remains under investigation. Next of kin have been notified.
