Elk City, OK – Elk City’s biggest tradition is back for its 87th year as the Rodeo of Champions thunders into Beutler Bros. Arena August 29–31. Three nights of PRCA rodeo action are set for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, each performance starting at 8 p.m.

Fans will see top cowboys and cowgirls competing in roping, riding, wrestling, bucking broncs, and the crowd favorite, bull riding. Expect thrills when cowboys tie themselves like toothpicks to the back of a bull or wrestle 400-pound steers to the dirt.

The excitement kicks off Friday with Dr. Pepper Night, where kids 12 and under get free bleacher admission with a Dr. Pepper can.

The rodeo parade runs through downtown Elk City Saturday morning starting at 10 a.m., and Sunday is “Go Purple” night, encouraging fans to wear purple to raise awareness for Alzheimer’s and dementia, benefiting the Western Oklahoma Alzheimer’s Collaborative.

New this year, Wisconsin FMX will take the arena with high-flying dirt bike stunts—flips, spins, and turns 30 feet in the air. Returning crowd favorite rodeo clown Dusty Myers will keep the laughs coming, and the legendary Beutler & Son Rodeo Company will bring their world-class bucking horses and bulls.

Tickets range from $20–$25 for grandstand seating, $15 for bleachers, and $10 for kids ages 6–12 (bleachers only). Tickets are available online at ElkCityRodeo.com, at Circle A Western Wear, Barber-Dyson Ford, the Beutler Bros. Arena ticket office August 25–29, or at the gate while supplies last.
