ABC FLIGHT RULES
USGA Rules govern all play where applicable with the modification of the following Tournament Rules:
GENERAL:
- SCORECARDS MUST BE EXCHANGED WITH OTHER TEAM IN PAIRING!
- No Club Limit.
- Play ball up everywhere, one club-length, not closer to hole without changing line of play or playing surface.
- Gimmies within “the leather” (max 2 feet)
- Distance devices permitted
- Except for relief situations under USGA Rules, it is not allowed to change surfaces for any shot (fairway to rough, rough to fairway, fringe to green, etc)
- Casual Water present in many areas of the course. If no dry area, use “maximum affordable relief” (i.e. 1/8” of water instead of ½”… or use another ball in play).
- If a shot is to be played from a bunker, the original ball is played as it lies, the remaining team members rake bunker and place ball for their shot.
- Non Amateur players NOT eligible for insured prizes.
- No practice shots allowed. NO MULLIGANS
- KEEP UP WITH THE GROUP AHEAD OF YOU.
- All new, staked trees are “temporary” obstructions.
Penalty Areas: All penalty areas are considered lateral (red line). Tall Grassed “island” areas “(Native Areas”) on #5, #6, #8, #13/#14, #11#18 are lateral penalty areas.
Out of bounds: all fence around the course.
Ground Under Repair: Marked with solid white line.
Obstructions include all staked trees..
TEES: Women – Red Tees; 69 & Down – Blue Tees; Men over 70 – White Tees
–FLIGHT BREAKDOWN: In order to avoid appearance of favoritism to anyone, and regardless of the breakdown difference in scores, the flights will be: “A”: Top 14 teams and ties; “C”: bottom 14 teams and ties 14; Remaining teams make “B” flight.
–Tie Breaker: Scorecard playoff, starting at a hole drawn by one of the players after play has been completed.
