Wellington Man Sentenced to Six Years Probation for Burglary in 100th Judicial District Court

On Monday, October 21, one plea took place in the 100th Judicial District Court, via the internet-based meeting app Zoom.

Luke Inman, the District Attorney for the 100th Judicial District, along with Assistant District Attorney Harley Caudle, prosecuted the case for the State of Texas, with the Honorable Judge Dale Rabe, Jr., presiding.

Calvin Roland, 60 from Wellington, was placed on probation for six years for the second degree felony offense of burglary of a habitation.

Roland was arrested by Collingsworth County Sheriff Kent Riley for the offense that took place on July 1, 2023. Roland was indicted by a Collingsworth County Grand Jury on October 10.

Roland was ordered to pay a $1,000 fine, $376 in court costs, and complete 300 community service hours.

Due to the nature of the offense, Roland is also required to complete anger management and have no contact with the victim.
