Officials have announced that an accident last week involving two semis and a motorcycle has claimed the life of a Weatherford man.

According to the collision report provided by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the accident, which remains under investigation, occurred on September 18 at around 5:26 PM along Interstate 40 westbound near Mile Marker 122, near El Reno.

Troopers said 51-year-old Patrick Cronk of Weatherford sustained severe injuries in the crash. He was airlifted to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries on September 22.

The other two vehicles involved in the crash were a 2020 Peterbilt and a 2025 Freightliner.

Both drivers of the semis were not injured.

OHP says the cause of the accident remains under investigation, as does the condition of both semi-truck drivers.

Investigators have noted that Cronk was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
