An Elk City man has been charged with larceny, computer fraud, and unlawful use of a computer system after allegedly stealing a phone and depositing it into a kiosk at a local store for money.

The investigation led by Elk City Police identified 33-year-old Kameron Sharod Harrison of Elk City as a suspect. Harrison allegedly sold the stolen phone at an EcoATM kiosk in the Elk City Walmart.

According to a probable cause affidavit, on July 11, Elk City Police were informed by the victim that she had lost her Apple iPhone 14, which she believed fell out of her pocket or vehicle in Elk City during the early hours of July 7.

Using the “Find My iPhone” app, the woman tracked the phone to the EcoATM kiosk at Walmart. After contacting EcoATM customer service, it was confirmed that the phone had been sold to the kiosk and was already picked up for processing. The company flagged the phone as stolen, but as of July 26, transaction data remained unavailable.

A LeadsOnline search revealed that the phone was allegedly sold by Harrison, a local resident, on the evening of July 7. Images provided in the LeadsOnline report, including photos of Harrison and his driver’s license, matched the suspect from previous interactions with law enforcement.

Further investigation revealed security footage from Walmart that corroborated the LeadsOnline images. The footage allegedly showed Harrison entering the store, completing the transaction at the kiosk, and then exiting while using another cell phone.

EcoATM later shipped the stolen phone back to the victim. Upon inspection, the serial number on the phone matched the one on the box from the original purchase. Additionally, the EcoATM barcode sticker on the phone matched the transaction records tied to Harrison.
