Pedestrian Hit, Killed in Altus

An apparent accident in Altus has left a man dead.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Troopers were requested by Altus Police to assist in the investigation of a death near the intersection of South Main and Ridgecrest Road where a man was hit by a semi at around 4:30 Tuesday morning.

Troopers confirmed the identity of the man as being 35-year-old Terence J. Allen of Altus, and added that the driver of the semi reported the accident and has cooperated with the investigation.

However the exact cause is still under investigation.
