Foss Man Critically Injured in One Vehicle Accident

A Foss man was critically injured Monday afternoon after being involved in a one vehicle accident near Burns Flat in Washita County.

Troopers with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported that the accident occurred at 2:18 p.m. on OK-44 1 mile north of Burns Flat when 86-year-old Clarence A Stamm departed the road to the right and struck a culvert with his 2008 Chevrolet.

The collision report said as a result Stamm was flown to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City where he was admitted in critical condition with various injuries, including head injuries.

Troopers listed the cause of the crash and condition of the driver as being “sleepy”.

No other vehicles were involved in the wreck and there were no other occupants inside the pickup.
