Clinton Fire Victim ID’d – Investigation Continues

The Clinton Police Department has released the identity of the victim in the structure fire that occurred last month.

According to officials, the victim has been identified as 45-year-old Michael Easter of Clinton.

The incident occurred around 2 a.m. on May 25 in the 300 block of Eastside Street when emergency services responded to a structure fire in a camper. When they arrived, the Clinton Fire Department found the camper completely engulfed in flames. After extinguishing the fire, firefighters made the discovery of an unidentified individual’s body within the remains of the camper.

Upon discovery of the body, Clinton Fire contacted Clinton P.D., the state fire marshal, and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation to conduct an investigation into the incident.

The family has been informed and the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is ongoing.
