Leedey Teen Injured in Two Vehicle Crash

The cause of a two vehicle accident that hospitalized a Leedey teen remains under investigation today.

According to the collision reported provided by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the crash happened 9 miles east of Vici on US-60 when, while a 2012 Dodge Journey and 2019 Mack Pinnacle were heading west bound, the Mack truck initiated a left turn onto a county road and was struck from behind by the Dodge Journey.

As a result, the driver of the Dodge Journey, 18-year-old Haylie Nance was pinned in the vehicle before being freed by crews from both the Vici and Seiling Fire Departments.

She was later flown to OU Medical Center and admitted in stable condition with trunk internal injuries.

The driver of the Mack truck was not injured.
