A Gage man passed away Monday night after being involved in a two vehicle accident near Laverne in Harper County.
According to the collision report provided by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the accident took place at 11:31 p.m. at the intersection of US-283 and US-270, five miles south of Laverne, when while traveling northbound on US-283 in a 2008 Ford F-250 a 76-year-old male failed to stop at the stop sign and was struck by a 2024 Freightliner semi truck that was heading westbound on US-270.
As a result, troopers said the driver of the pickup was transported to Integris Health in Woodward where he was later pronounced deceased. His name was not released pending positive identification.
The driver of the semi was not injured.
