College Football Weekend

The final regular-season weekend in college football saw incredible matchups and defining moments. Conference title games loomed large, with teams battling for coveted spots in the playoffs.

In the Big 12, the Texas Longhorns secured their conference championship game ticket with a dominant 57-7 victory over Texas Tech. Meanwhile, Oklahoma State faced a nail-biting showdown against BYU. After trailing 24-6 at halftime, the Cowboys rallied with 21 consecutive second-half points, ultimately winning 40-34 in double overtime. Their victory sets up a Big 12 title game clash against Texas.

Oklahoma capitalized on Friday morning, overpowering TCU 69-45. The Sooners’ offense was relentless, but it was a pivotal interception by Billy Bowman, returning it for a pick-six, that sealed their impressive win. OU finishes the season at 10-2.

Across the nation, upsets were on the horizon. In a much-anticipated game, #3 Michigan edged #2 Ohio State 30-24, earning a spot in the Big 10 title game against Iowa. Alabama faced a tense moment in the Iron Bowl but managed a stunning 27-24 win over Auburn, setting up a showdown against Georgia for the SEC Title.

High School Hoops Tonight

High school basketball action hits the courts tonight on ParagonTV. The Merritt Oilerettes and Oilers kick off their season against Cordell. Catch the live action starting at 6:30 PM for the girls’ game, followed by the Oilers against the Blue Devils at 8 PM.
