The primary election to fill two seats on the Weatherford City Commission was held yesterday.

Six candidates filed for seats in Wards 1 and 3 after the previous commissioners chose not to run.

Winning the Ward 1 seat was Kendon Wood by receiving 63% of the vote over challengers Terri Lockhart, and Madella Shelton.

The race for Ward 3 went to Warren Goldmann after he received to received 63% of the vote over challengers Chad Marton, and Rebecca Carman.

Elsewhere in the listening area, Navajo Public Schools’ proposed ten year bond worth just over two million dollars to remodel their ag and tech building got huge approval with 72% of the patrons voting in favor of the bond.
