On the heels of Gov. Kevin Stitt’s trip to the 2023 Paris Air Show, state leaders say the Oklahoma Air and Space Port located at Clinton Sherman Industrial Airpark in Burns Flat is still fresh on their minds when it comes to possible utilization for new businesses that could locate to the state.

During a recent appearance on KECO’s Exploring Energy, Lt. Gov. Matt Pinnell says he feels that its just a matter of time before more businesses decide to locate to the 2nd longest runway in the country.

Pinnell says with the recent interest in space exploration from the private sector, he feels more companies will get “more serious about Burns Flat”.

It was announced last October that Premium Aerospace Center (PAC) will locate its international headquarters at the Space Port.

State officials said PAC will also invest several million dollars to renovate and expand two existing hangars and build a third hangar at the facility.
