After receiving complaints regarding an asphalt overlay project on OK-6 just west of Elk City, City Manager Tom Ivester shed some light recently on the project and insists – the project is not a city project.

Ivester said although the portion of the project is in city limits, the Oklahoma Department of Transportation is overseeing that project.

Ivester said ODOT has been contacted and it has been requested that the project be re-done.
