Wellington, TX Man Sentenced in Collingsworth County

A Wellington, Texas man was sentenced to prison after being found with methamphetamine during an arrest last fall.

According to a press release provided by the Office of the 100th Judicial District 39-year-old Guadalupe Meza was sentenced on Thursday, May 11 to 16 months in prison for the state jail felony offense of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine after being arrested in Collingsworth County, Texas on October 4.

Meza was originally placed on two years probation on November 30, 2022 and the State filed a motion asking the Court to revoke Meza’s probation on March 7, 2023.

Meza was also ordered to pay the remaining $500 fine to Collingsworth County, $180 lab fee, and $340 in court costs.

Luke Inman, the District Attorney for the 100th Judicial District, along with Assistant District Attorney Harley Caudle, prosecuted the cases for the State of Texas, with the Honorable Judge Stuart Messer presiding.
