Elk City Commission To Consider Future of Race Track

Elk City leaders are scheduled to meet in regular session Wednesday afternoon.

During their meeting, the Elk City Commission will consider to approve or disapprove a lease agreement between the City of Elk City and
Fauver Racing & Promotions, LLC for the stock car race track and racetrack radio controlled aircraft.

The Commission will also consider two payments for the Aquatic Center, one for just under $441,000 ($440,984.95) to Joe D. Hall General Contractors and the other for just over $42,600 ($42,634) to Orion Security Solutions for a video surveillance system at the pool.

The Commission is also expected to get a report from Joe D. Hall Contractors regarding the pool’s construction progress.

Wednesday’s meeting starts at 2 p.m. inside City Hall.
