A passenger in a vehicle involved in a two vehicle wreck in Weatherford was injured.

According to the collision report provided by the Weatherford Police Department, the accident occurred just after 11a.m. Monday in a parking lot located in the 800 block of East Main Street when a 2007 Dodge SUV struck a 2013 Hyundai on the front passenger side quarter panel with its front bumper.

The driver of the SUV would tell police that he did not see the Hyundai due to a truck that was also parked in the parking lot.

The driver of the Hyundai told police that he attempted to brake to avoid hitting the SUV but did not have enough time.

The man would also tell police that it appeared that the SUV was driving at a high rate of speed through the parking lot before the accident took place.

The report concluded by saying a passenger in the struck vehicle told police that her head and neck hurt, but would refuse treatment at the scene.
