A Clinton man wanted on multiple charges dating back to 2015 is now wanted in Custer County for allegedly stealing an airport courtesy vehicle from the Clinton Regional Airport in December.

According to court records, 60-year-old Eduardo Troncoso received a felony charge of unauthorized use of a vehicle on December 20.

A probable cause affidavit showed that on December 12, police were notified by an Airport employee that one of the city owned vehicles had gone missing. The next day, the suspect vehicle was found during a traffic stop in Clinton. There the driver would tell police that he was allowed to drive the vehicle by Troncoso. He told police that the defendant had told him that he owned the airport and was authorized to use the vehicle.

The driver told police that he intended to drive the vehicle to Arkansas to pick up his wife.

Troncoso is currently wanted for unauthorized use of a vehicle.

Court records would show that this isn’t the only charge Troncoso is wanted on in Custer County.

In 2015 he was charged with possession of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school, also a felony, and a misdemeanor charge of assault on a police officer in 2018.

As of press time, Troncoso has not been arrested.
