Funeral Services Set For Former Oklahoma Transportation Secretary

Funeral services for former Oklahoma Transportation Secretary Gary Ridley have been set for the Catholic Church in Yukon.

Ridley served as ODOT Division Five Maintenance Engineer and Division Engineer in Clinton from 1986 to 1995.

After a four year hiatus away from ODOT, Ridley returned to ODOT in 2001 after being named Assistant Director for Operations. He ultimately rose to serve as the director of ODOT until 2013. Ridley served as secretary of transportation for three governors and was first appointed by Gov. Frank Keating.

His funeral will be held Friday, Dec. 30 at 10:30 a.m. at the St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church.

A vigil will be held on Thursday, Dec. 29 at 6:30 at the church.
