A Lawton man was arrested after leading authorities on a high speed pursuit through Clinton streets earlier this month.

It was also later discovered that the subject was driving with a suspended license, and was impaired.

According to the probable cause affidavit, 27-year-old Brach Anthony Hornbuckle was arrested on the night of November 11 after leading Clinton Police, Oklahoma Highway Patrolman, and Custer County Sheriff’s Deputies on the high speed pursuit that saw speeds reportedly exceed 60 miles per hour.

The pursuit came to an end when the Nissan Rouge the defendant was driving struck a parked Ford Expedition – which caused significant damage to the Hornbuckle vehicle. The court document stated that authorities had to bust the driver’s side window in order to extract the suspect, who would allegedly state that he was “drunk” during the arresting process.

Hornbuckle was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for minor injuries before being taken to the Custer County Jail.

Hornbuckle was charged with endangering others while attempting to elude police, along with driving under the influence, malicious injury to property and driving a motor vehicle under a suspended license.

Bond was set at $15,000.
