An Oklahoma City man accused of supplying a large amount of methamphetamine in the area has been charged with aggravated trafficking in illegal drugs after an investigation by the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs.

According to the probable cause affidavit filed by the OBN, 32-year-old Davar Oniel Pearson was arrested on August 24 in Clinton after the defendant allegedly sold the illegal narcotic to an undercover OBN agent at a convenience store on U.S. Highway 183.

The document stated that after the sale, agents would follow Pearson to a nearby neighborhood where he would recognize the law enforcement and lead the agents on a short foot pursuit before being arrested.

Person would comply with the agents during the arresting process, and was ultimately booked into the Custer County Jail.

It was later determined that the illegal narcotic he sold to the undercover agent was indeed methamphetamine after being tested. It weighed nearly three pounds.

A preliminary hearing for Pearson in Custer County District Court is scheduled for October 7. His bond was set at $75,000.
