Completion Reports Show Western Oklahoma Wells Producing Good Numbers

Drilling in Custer County by Continental Resources resulted in a gas well with production of more than 14,000 Mcf of natural gas a day.

The company filed a completion report this week showing the well located at a site about 4 miles southeast of Thomas.

The well, spudded in November was completed on May 20th at a drilled depth of 28,035 in the Mississippian formation. Its production totaled 14,455 Mcf of natural gas.

Paloma Operating Co. Inc. of Houston filed completions on two Canadian County wells drilled on a single pad. The first was drilled at a site located about 2 miles north of the Lucky Star Casino at Concho. It produced 86 barrels of oil a day and 131 Mcf of natural gas from a depth of 16,154 feet upon its April 25th completion. It had a February spud date.

The sister well was completed the same date with production of 75 barrels of oil a day and 191 Mcf of natural gas from 16,735 feet in the Mississippian formation.

Mewbourne Oil Company filed a completion report on an Ellis County well located 6 miles northwest of Shattuck. The company reported production was 275 barrels of oil a day and 484 Mcf of natural gas. Drilled depth was 18,185 feet and completion was made April 27th following a February spud date.

Beutler Wins Literary Award
