A Clinton woman received a felony charge of knowingly receiving or concealing stolen property in Custer County last week after allegedly stealing a variety of items from a Clinton home.

In total, it is estimated that the total value of the items taken was just over $5,600.

According to court records, 31-year-old Carissa Dawn Gloria is wanted on the charge after Clinton police say the woman broke into a home in the 500 block of N. Third Street on June 26.

A probable cause affidavit revealed that the homeowner told Clinton police that someone had moved his air conditioner – window unit and entered the home and proceeded to take the items that included tools, rims and tires, and a drone.

The victim told police that he got word that someone was selling items that he suspected to be his. Upon his own investigation, he located the home where the items were and was able to confirm that the items were his.

After obtaining a search warrant, Clinton police would search the suspect’s home and find the stolen items. The victim would later come to the residence and was able to confirm that the items were his.

Gloria received the felony charge on July 19. A court date for the defendant is pending.
