The latest sales tax numbers are in and once again area communities continue to stay in the “green” with collections.

Other neighboring and comparable communities saw Clinton up 9.4% by collecting over $493,500. Weatherford over the $1 million dollar mark again by collecting just over $1.1 million – up 16%. Woodward was over the $1 million mark as well, collecting over $1,063,000. That is up 2%. Cordell was up 10% by collecting a little over $99,500.

Official numbers along with use and cigarette tax numbers for the City of Elk City are usually reported to the public during their mid-month meeting, scheduled to take on Wednesday (Feb. 16).
