A traffic stop in Custer County led to a major drug bust and arrest of an Arkansas man.

Court records show 24-year-old Nicolas Jordan Tanner of Fort Smith, Arkansas was pulled over on Interstate 40 by a Custer County Sheriff’s Deputy on November 23. There he would find six pounds of raw marijuana, 138 canisters of mushrooms, 24 bottles of liquid marijuana, medical marijuana wax, three pounds of marijuana gummies and a loaded firearm during a search of the suspect’s vehicle.

Tanner was arrested and charged the next day with two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled drug with the intent to distribute and one count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Bond for Tanner was set at $75,000. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for January 7 in Custer County District Court.
