Elk City Commission Meets Tonight – To Consider Final Plat for New Restaurant

The Elk City Commission is scheduled to meet tonight (Monday) in regular session.

According to the posted agenda, the commission will consider and approve or disapprove the annexation of land on East 7th Street, and also consider and approve or disapprove the final plat for a Burger King restaurant to be located there.

Among other agenda items, the commission will consider a resolution to help provide labor to maintain the traffic light at the intersection of State Highway 6 and Merritt Road.

The commission will also consider an item that was tabled during last month’s meeting. That item being an agreement between the city and the chamber of commerce for management and daily operations of the Elk City Convention and Visitors Bureau not to include the Civic Center.

Tonight’s meeting in city hall is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.
