Now that the dirt work has started for the Elk City Indoor Activity Center, Interim City Manager Tom Iverster says officials are already looking ahead to the city’s next major CAPPs funded project.
Ivester says its unclear exactly what design concept will take place at the pool, but anticipates some sort of splash pad with slides and other attractions to be built with the existing pool in Ackley Park.
Ivester did say the downturn to the economy could have an affect on the projects, saying that the price tag could be cheaper due to the fact that contractors are willing to take the jobs at a cheaper rate.
