A Sayre man was charged recently after a 14-year-old girl told police that he had sex with her.

According to the probable cause affidavit, 51-year-old George Shane Stacy was arrested and charged in Beckham County earlier this month after an investigation revealed that the inappropriate contact between Stacy and the girl happened in November while staying at the victim’s home.

Authorities became aware of the incident after the girl disclosed to officials of the incident in December. During a forensic interview, the girl would tell investigators that while in the living room together, Stacy allegedly showed the girl pornographic materials before physically picking her up and placing her on his lap. That’s when sexual intercourse would take place.

Stacy was eventually located on March 2, and corroborate much of the victim’s story – but denied any wrong doing.

On March 16, Stacy was interviewed at the Elk City Police Department and told the detective that he did indeed attempt to have sexual intercourse with the teen, but was unable to do so due to his penis being too small.

The court document stated that Stacy was taken into custody after the interview.

Stacy was formally charged on March 29 with one felony count of second degree rape and one felony county of performing a lewd act in the presence of a minor. Bond for Stacy was set at $100,000. His first court date is scheduled for April 12.
