Despite the building not complete, the Elk City CAPPs committee is already forming plans on how the Elk City Activity Center will be used.
According to Elk City, City Manager Tom Ivester, the committee’s goal is to make sure the building is being utilized year round.
Currently the building is starting to see metal scaffolding being erected at the sight, which is located in Ackley Park West, south of the Elk City Elementary School.
The next CAPPs project the city plans to move forward with is the renovation of the city pool. Early planning for that project is already underway.
