After nearly an hour of input from the public, and discussion among officials, the Elk City Commission approved an agreement between the City and the Chamber of Commerce for management daily operations of the Elk City Convention and Visitors Bureau.
City Manager Tom Ivester says this agreement will ultimately create a new position in the city to oversee digital marketing.
The Commission ultimately approved the one-year contract by a 3-2 vote with one abstention. It was also noted in the agreement that the Civic Center is not included in the contract.
