The Elk City Commission will meet for the final time in 2020 on Wednesday afternoon.
Items the commission will consider include a resolution calling for a non-partisan general election for commissioner seats in both wards two and three, along with the mayor’s seat. That general election is scheduled for April 6, 2021.
The commission will also discuss the sixth and final payment to Hellas Construction for the installation of the turf at both the Elk City Ackley Park Baseball Field and the 5 Plexes in Ackley Park West. That budgeted item payment will be for just under $275,000.
The commission is also expected to receive the November sales, use, and cigarette tax report during the monthly financial report from the city treasurer.
Wednesday afternoon’s meeting of the Elk City Commission is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. inside city hall.
