Two Clinton men have been slapped with felony charges after allegedly pointing firearms at a woman in her car in October.

According to a probable cause affidavit 20-year-old Mason Bailey Dees and 19-year-old Maudie Cruz Marin both received a felony charge of feloniously pointing a firearm last week after a woman told police that while driving northbound in the 100 block of S. 6th Street she encountered a parked car at the Frisco Avenue intersection in Clinton. After a few moments she told police that Dees, who she recognized, exited the vehicle with what appeared to be a black AR-15 rifle, and that another subject, later identified to be Marin, exited the vehicle holding a black handgun.

The court document said the woman claimed that the two men approached her vehicle while pointing the firearms at her. The woman said she would put her vehicle in reverse and fled the area.

The affidavit stated that a few days later Dees was stopped by a Custer County Sheriff’s Deputy and was found to be in possession of a homemade shotgun that resembled an AR style rifle.

Court documents revealed to police that Dees had plead guilty to a felony charge out of Texas last March, and was currently on supervised probation.

Along with the pointing a firearm charge, Dees was also charged with possession of a firearm while on probation.

Marin currently has an outstanding warrant out for his arrest after being charged last week.
