The Coronavirus has started to have a giant effect on the early part of the high school basketball season across western Oklahoma.
Cheyenne-Reydon won’t play games until after Thanksgiving. Hammon has cancelled games scheduled for tonight and Friday night. Erick and Granite won’t play Friday night either.
Today the decision was made to cancel the Annual 5 Country Conference Tournament in order to open up that week in early December to try and make up some of the games being missed right now. It’s a decision that wasn’t easy, but the 5 County Conference schools felt it was necessary to make this decision. Once again the 5 County Conference Tournament scheduled for Dec 7th through Dec 12th has been cancelled.
