The investigation into a stolen work vehicle that belonged to the City of Elk City has seen two warrants for arrest issued in Beckham County District Court.

According to a probable cause affidavit for arrest, the vehicle was reported stolen from the Ackley Park maintenance garage on the afternoon of December 29, 1019 by damaging a metal gate to the maintenance yard. About a month later, the Elk City Police Department received a message from the Aurora, Colorado Police Department advising that the stolen vehicle was located at a truck stop and was involved in a hit and run accident, however witnesses say the occupants of the vehicle, a man and a woman, fled the scene.

When Elk City authorities were able to pick up the vehicle, they located, among other things, a women’s wallet, a man’s billfold, a personal camcorder, and personal photographs displaying the names of 31-year-old Jennylynn Dale of Oklahoma City and 27-year-old Joseph Tucker of Nowata, Oklahoma.

The report stated that through the course of the investigation the officer was able to positively identify both Dale and Tucker by their own video footage from the camcorder, and observed on the videos that the couple were in Elk City during the same time as to when the vehicle was originally stolen.

Based on the investigation, both Dale and Tucker were charged with one count each of burglary in the second degree, conspiracy, and malicious injury to property totaling over $1,000.
