An Enid man is wanted on multiple federal charges including maiming and kidnapping, due to his suspected involvement in the beating of a man in an Elk City hotel.

According to a probable cause affidavit, 27-year-old Christopher Michael Carlock is suspected of holding a man against his will in the hotel and beating him with his fists and a tire iron on multiple occasions.

Police became aware of the plot after authorities discovered a video on social media, showing the victim restrained, bloody, and reading a document. Carlock allegedly threatened to have the victims fingers and toes cut off with dog clippers, and at one point in the video he could be heard calling a subject for a tarp and having all the subjects who were in the room to leave except for himself and the victim.

Authorities were able to determine the victims location, and while arriving they were able to locate the suspect who had posted the video to social media in a pickup along with three other individuals. When asked about the whereabouts of the victim, all denied any knowledge of the individual, however the court document would later state that it was determined that the four suspects did indeed know where the victim was located.

The affidavit went on to say that during the course of the investigation, police were able to locate the victim inside a hotel room, in the bathroom. Police say he had been severely assaulted and was still restrained by a zip tie behind his back. The victim was transported to Great Plains Regional Medical Center and was treated for multiple injuries including a broken tooth, multiple lacerations to the head and body, and multiple contusions to the head and body.

A felony warrant was issued last week for Carlock on charges of maiming, conspiracy, kidnapping, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and gang-related offense.

Anyone with information regarding Carlock’s whereabouts are encouraged to contact law enforcement.
