18-Year-Old Receives Grand Larceny Charge

A Cordell man was arrested and received a felony charge of grand larceny after a small crime spree in Cordell.

According to a probable cause affidavit, 18-year-old Kobe Kennemer was arrested earlier this month by a Washita County Sheriff’s Deputy after allegedly confessing to the crimes. According to the report, Kennemer told the deputy that he had stolen two gas cans, tools worth $4,000, two Yeti brand ice chests, and a pressure washer. All items were located at different residences throughout Cordell.

Kennemer was arrested and booked into the Washita County Jail. He was formally charged with one count of grand larceny, and a misdemeanor charge of petit larceny on August 5.

Kennemer’s next court date has been scheduled for September 14, a preliminary hearing conference has been scheduled for October 13.
