Elsewhere Custer County saw some recovery over the weekend. Health officials are reporting that the county now has 10 active cases. That is down four when compared to Friday. Jackson County saw one recovery over the weekend. The county now has 4 active cases. Greer and Kiowa Counties still have two active cases each while Washita County still has one active case.

Statewide Oklahoma has 1,294 active cases of COVID-19. A total of 6,578 Oklahoma residents have recovered from the illness, according to the department.

There were no deaths due to the virus reported over the weekend. The current death count in Oklahoma stands at 359.

For most people, the coronavirus causes mild or moderate symptoms that clear up within weeks. But for others, especially older adults and people with existing health problems, the highly contagious virus can cause severe symptoms and be fatal. The vast majority of people recover.
