An Elk City man was arrested recently after being caught allegedly sexually assaulting a minor in a hotel room.

According to a probable cause affidavit, 33-year-old Dustin Lane Gordon was arrested on February 24 in an Elk City hotel parking lot by Elk City Police, after they were dispatched to the location on a possible child sexual assault incident that took place in one of the rooms.

The affidavit stated that while speaking with police, the parents of the child said they had befriended Gordon a couple days earlier, and allowed him to share the hotel room with their family. The affidavit stated that while the husband and wife were in one bed, Gordon and the 5-year-old year old female juvenile shared the other bed. The father told police that while the lights were off, he observed the covers in the second bed to move. He turned on the lights of the room and removed the covers and observed Gordon to allegedly be naked from the waste down. The document stated that the mother took the child to the bathroom while the father allegedly began assaulting Gordon before police were contacted.

The affidavit stated that the juvenile was forensically interviewed and disclosed that she was allegedly kissed on the face and touched inappropriately by Gordon.

Gordon was charged with one count of lewd or indecent acts to a child under the age of 16 – a felony. His first court date is scheduled for March 23.
