Trio of Musical Artists Set for SWOSUpalooza 2020

Flatland Cavalry, Mike Ryan and Triston Marez will be featured at this year’s SWOSUpalooza ‪on the campus of Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford.

SWOSUpalooza is set for Thursday, April 9, at 8 p.m. in the Pioneer Cellular Event Center. The music event is sponsored by the Student Government Association and the Panorama Series.

Tickets are available on stubwire.com at share.swosu.edu/SWOSUpalooza2020 or in the SWOSU Public Relations and Marketing Office in Room 205 of the Hays Administration Building. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 on the day of the show.

Headliner Flatland Cavalry appeared at SWOSUpalooza 2018 and is back by popular demand. Flatland Cavalry has been stretching their legs across the country after honing their craft and voice in the music boomtown of Lubbock (TX). Flatland Cavalry continues to evolve as musicians and storytellers and is popular with college audiences.

Some of their recent albums include Homeland Insecurity, Come May and Humble Folks. The band continues to expand their sonic palettes while remaining true to those defining characteristics that made them rising standouts.

Mike Ryan is a San Antonio (TX) born singer/songwriter who has accumulated fans across the nation and throughout the world with powerful, whiskey smooth vocals and well-crafted lyrics.  His brand of country music, infused with southern rock and soulful rhythms, has generated over 105 million streams to date.

Ryan made his national TV debut in 2018 when he was invited to play the White House 4th of July celebration in Washington D.C.  That same year, he was named one of Pandora’s “Artists to Watch”.  With a steady tour schedule and a rapidly growing fan base, Ryan is in high demand headlining venues across the country.

Triston Marez is 22 years old and has already had two extended play recordings. He has been touring the past year with Randall King, Jon Wolf, Aaron Watson, Josh Ward, Kevin Fowler and others.

A Houston native, Marez’ sound is not just centered on country music. It is weaved through his 22 years as a member of a musical family from Oklahoma known for their bluegrass and fiddle talents. Marez started playing guitar at the age of six.
